The bad smell from the plumbing system is usually created because a lot of waste has accumulated that has taken time to be cleaned. In other words, the pipes are partially blocked and now you have to unclog them. Thus, the drain will stop smelling. So, let’s look at some ways to temporarily unclog your drain.

1. Use sealing fluid

Blocking with occlusive fluid is a classic and always successful solution. You buy this liquid from your neighborhood super market. Each liquid of a different brand has instructions for use written on its packaging. However, the usual process is very simple. If the drain smells, you must first pour plenty of hot water into the siphon.

Then, you pour the liquid to act on the pipes. After 15-20 minutes you can again let plenty of hot water run from the tap into the drain. After some time, he repeated the same process again. Your pipes should be unclogged this way. Somehow you will get rid of the unpleasant smell of the sewer.

2. Clean with baking soda

As you know, baking soda has many applications in cleaning the house. In fact, it is so effective and at the same time gentle, that we also use it to clean marbles. But how can baking soda help you if the drain in your house smells? Execution is very simple. Pour 3-4 tablespoons of baking soda into the siphon where the bad smell is coming from.

Whether it is a bathroom or kitchen siphon, there is no problem. If you want, you can continue by adding half a cup of vinegar to the siphon. Wait 15-20 minutes and then run plenty of hot water to clean the pipes. If the drainage problem is not too serious, this method will solve your problem. 3. Pour coffee grounds

Coffee is a quite popular drink in our country. It is available in all super markets and coffee shops, but also in most homes. But did you know that coffee also has corrosive properties? After drinking your coffee, pour the coffee grounds into the siphon, so that it reaches the drain pipes. Leave it for about 20 minutes and then pour plenty of hot water to wash away the residue. You can collect the grounds from more coffee mugs for better results. However, you must not forget to wash off the residue in time. If you leave them for many hours, there is a risk that they will puncture the pipes.

4. Disinfect with vinegar

Vinegar is a very effective natural cleaner. It dissolves fats, eliminates unpleasant odors and disinfects. If the drain in the bathroom or the kitchen smells, you can clean it with vinegar. One night, before you go to sleep, pour a cup of vinegar down the drain. Leave it on for the whole night, without pouring water. The next morning, run hot water down the drain to completely clean the drain pipes.

If you can’t wait a whole night, there is another solution. Mix half a cup of vinegar with 3 tablespoons of baking soda. Then pour the mixture into the drain and wait for 20-30 minutes. Finally, rinse with plenty of hot water to clean the pipes completely. You will somehow get rid of a large part of the problem.
